Scotland football fans packed out Dundee’s pubs to celebrate a famous World Cup qualifier win on Tuesday night. There were jubilant scenes as the national side sealed an incredible 4-2 win over Denmark to book their place at the 2026 tournament in┬áCanada, Mexico and the United States. Goals from Scott McTominay and Lawrence Shankland, and stunning injury-time additions from Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean, helped the Scotland men’s side qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1998.

This Remembrance Sunday, hundreds gathered in Dundee to pay their respects to all those who gave their lives in conflict. The commemoration began with a parade from the grounds of Dundee High School, along Reform Street and Nethergate, finishing at the Garden of Remembrance. Led by the HM Royal Marine Band (Scotland), the parade included personnel from HMS Duncan, HMS Scotia, veterans and cadet forces. The Lord Provost took the salute in Reform Street.
