For Charlene Dimas-Peinado, no matter how your story starts, healing is possible – especially with the right resources. She’s committed to giving children and Angelinos a chance to bounce back from trauma. As the CEO and president of Wellnest, a nonprofit that provides mental health and supportive services in the L.A area, that belief is at the core of her work. It took shape when Dimas-Peinado was in college. “I had the opportunity to do an internship at USC Psychiatric Hospital,” she said.
