造在山上｜突破青年村

沙田亞公角山，距離市中心明明不遠，但它一直像個與世隔絕的地方，亦未必所有人都有需要（或願意）到訪。 沿山路直上，迎面是不同社福機構及院舍：提供善終服務的「白普理寧養中心」和賽馬會「善寧之家」，照料傷殘人士的慈氏護養院，戒毒青年人的宿舍「城門之源」等；山頂曾經有過沙田男童院，後來改建成鄰舍輔導會「怡欣山莊」，服務弱能人士。 站在山腰是最為人熟悉的「突破青年村」，也許會是整個山頭唯一强調青春與活力，亦最為七彩繽紛的一組建築。 青年村於1996年啟用，正值回歸前夕，恰巧處於這城迎接變化的關鍵時刻；村內除了住宿的房間，還有辦公室，體育設施，藝術工場，餐廳，甚至還有自己的戲院。 營地座落此處已經接近30年，作為宗教及青少年康樂場所，它是個頗為有趣的空間，有趣在介乎「開放」與「神秘」，聽過它的人肯定不少，但真正來過的卻不如想像中多。 這個人們普遍形容為「學生去camp」的地方，不止於此——至少在建築及設計美學的層面，30年前的作品，細節上充滿驚喜，值得被更多人看見。...
