FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — One local amateur radio station, the Hoosier Lakes Radio Club, has been selected to serve in emergency communications for the Boston Marathon. The Hoosier Lakes Radio Club has been around for 75 years and serves in emergency communications based out of Kosciusko County. As they have experience working with the National Weather Service, marathons, community events, and other various emergency communications, they wanted to try to get to the Boston Marathon.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Fort Wayne Tincaps opened their 2026 home schedule against the Lansing Lugnuts on Tuesday night. Despite the cold, fans were still lining up at the gate to get in. “I’ve been looking forward to it all week, the previous week, it’s just the best day for me is opening day in Fort Wayne,” Trish Bugajski, one fan, said. Tuesday night marked Trish and Ken Bugajski’s 16th opening day they have attended for the Tincaps. “It’s tradition, for sure,” she said.
