This year has been especially bad, but Gregory apparently doesn't want fans to tell him about it. Polanco talked before Thursday's game and addressed his poor play and fans at Wednesday night's game chanting "DFA" at him.

"It's also very clear we need to get the most possible talent we can get out of the entire draft this year." Cherington then went out and drafted 4 of the top 32 players in the draft according to Baseball America.

However, it was evident that he believes the importance of this draft expands beyond the number one pick.
