(WBTW) – A Heat Advisory remains in effect for the Pee Dee, while an Extreme Heat Warning continues across parts of Horry County. Heat index values will range from 105 to 110 degrees, and actual air temperatures will climb close to 100 degrees away from the coastline.

Extreme heat warning continues Thursday

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Heat Advisory is in effect once again for the Pee Dee, where feels-like temperatures will climb to 105 degrees or higher. Actual inland temperatures will be close to 100 degrees this afternoon. Surprisingly, though, this isn’t record-setting heat for this time of year. However, it could mark the third time this summer that Florence reaches the 100-degree mark. At the beaches, most of Horry County is once again under an Extreme Heat Warning.

(WBTW) — Triple-digit heat index values will stick around for much of the afternoon, just like Monday. A Heat Advisory is in effect once again this afternoon, with feels-like temperatures expected to surpass 105 degrees. High temperatures today will peak in the 90s.
