The Issy Shirt from Pilcro solves the same problem using a different mechanism. Where the AYR tee uses weight, this uses drape. It is a 55% cotton and 42% viscose blend, and the viscose is the working ingredient: it gives the fabric fluidity, so the batwing sleeve falls into a curve rather than sticking out in a wedge. A batwing cut in stiff cotton poplin looks like a costume. In a blend with this much movement, it reads as architecture. The rest of the shirt is deliberately conventional.
