ABSTRACT This study investigates how nighttime recreational activity influences participants’ recovery, sleep quality, and life satisfaction through restorative experiences. Grounded in Attention Restoration Theory (ART) and the Recovery Experience Framework, the research examines the mechanisms linking restorative experience to well-being outcomes.

Un homme de 61 ans s’est rendu à notre clinique d’ophtalmologie pour une enflure à la paupière supérieure droite et un écoulement oculaire purulent, apparus 1 semaine auparavant, qui allaient en s’aggravant. Il ne présentait ni fièvre, ni céphalées, ni raideur de la nuque. La semaine précédente, il avait consulté 3 ophtalmologistes qui, présumant une conjonctivite bactérienne, avaient amorcé un traitement à la lévofloxacine administrée sous forme de gouttes.

A 61-year-old man presented to our ophthalmology clinic with worsening swelling of his right upper eyelid and purulent eye discharge, which had started 1 week earlier. He did not have any fever, headache, or neck stiffness. In the preceding week, he had seen 3 ophthalmologists, who had initiated treatment with levofloxacin drops for presumed bacterial conjunctivitis. His medical history included having chronic nasal obstruction and hyposmia for more than 3 years.
