Introduction Deepfakes are hyper-realistic manipulations of images, videos, and audio, often replacing someone's voice or face with somebody else's (Chesney & Citron, 2019, p. 1757). They are typically created using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), which consist of two neural networks that work in tandem.
