Cellular heterogeneity of hepatic granuloma formation and evolution in murine schistosomiasis japonica
Abstract Schistosomiasis morbidity and mortality are primarily driven by egg-triggered granulomas with subsequent fibrosis. However, the dynamics of cellular composition within these granulomas, particularly the identity and function of key immune cells that orchestrate their formation and evolution, remain poorly understood.
Extent of the low-density line is associated with time to fracture in children with congenital anterolateral bowing of the tibia: a retrospective survival analysis
Abstract Introduction: Congenital anterolateral bowing of the tibia (ALBT) represents a critical pre-fracture stage in the progression toward congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia. The low-density line (LDL) is a characteristic radiographic feature, but its temporal relationship with fracture risk remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the association between LDL extent and time to fracture and to identify clinically relevant temporal risk patterns.
Bioresorbable electrochemical sensors for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring in critical care
|
Abstract Lactate is a key metabolite and prognostic biomarker, reflecting oxygen delivery, cellular demand, and mitochondrial function. Current clinical lactate monitoring, however, relies on intermittent blood sampling, limiting localized interrogation, dynamic tracking and early intervention in critical care. Here, we report a bioresorbable and flexible electrochemical sensor for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring.
