Typically, the audio recordings of the court's oral arguments are only released on a delayed basis, so the arguments are only "live" for the limited number of people who can attend in person.

Our right to petition too often is forgotten

The freedom to petition is one of our most underrated rights. Not many Americans can name it, and those who can tend to undervalue it. The Freedom Forum’s latest survey revealed that only 14% of respondents could name petition as a First Amendment right and just 5% said it was the freedom they valued most. These results didn’t surprise me that much — but what did is how many people actually had used their freedom to petition.

Win! North Carolina Voters' Ballots Will Not Be Wrongly Discarded

In a victory for North Carolina voters, thousands of voters will be able to make their voices heard and not have their ballots wrongly discarded for the 2024 North Carolina Supreme Court race between incumbent Justice Allison Riggs and Judge Jefferson Griffin. As a result, Riggs will retain her seat on the state high court. The courts affirmed what we always knew: One person cannot overthrow an election just because they don’t like the results.
