Over the course of some 200 plus episodes, it has become rather clear that Dr. Sheldon Cooper isn't your average member of the male species. He's obsessive, he's quirky, and, sometimes, he's just downright inappropriate. But thanks to Jim Parsons and the writers of The Big Bang Theory, he's become this endearing odd bird that most of us can relate to at one time or another. That's why the secret that was unveiled tonight worked so well.

A few years ago, I worked for a company where it was common knowledge that employees of a certain level made a specific (very low) salary. I had to be strict with my budget and monitor it closely, but I hadn't thought about exactly how strict I personally had to be until a male coworker said to me he didn't think the salary was that bad. In fact, he found it was pretty easy to afford the necessities in life and have enough green leftover to keep his social life afloat.
