Jamie Chandler Seymour, 48, died after Rochester police said two vehicles collided May 24 on East Main Street near Prince Street. According to her family, Seymour was struck head-on and taken to the hospital, where she later died.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A shelter-in-place order was issued Tuesday afternoon for the Village of Bergen due to an ammonia leak at a canning factory. Garrett Dean, deputy chief of the Bergen Fire Department, said crews were called around 12:01 p.m. to Nortera, a vegetable canning facility on Church Street, for reports of an ammonia leak. Dean said a compressor broke and began leaking what officials believe was a large amount of ammonia, though the exact amount released was not immediately known.
