The Britt Literary Award was instituted in 1967 in memory of John F. X. Britt, one of the early pioneers in the modern records and information management profession. The award is given to the author(s) of the best “feature” article appearing in the ARMA magazine during the award year being considered (July 1 to June 30).
The iQ Article of the Year Award was established in 2004 to celebrate excellence in written contributions to RIMPA Global’s iQ Magazine. Over more than two decades, this award recognised authors whose innovation, thought leadership, and expertise shaped conversations in the records and information management industry. Each year, the winning article was selected from the preceding 12 months of iQ Magazine publications and announced at the Awards Night during the RIMPA Live Convention. The award became a hallmark of quality and an inspiration for professionals to share their knowledge with the wider community. With the final presentation in 2025, following the conclusion of the iQ Magazine, the iQ Article of the Year Award now holds a special place in RIMPA’s history, honouring the many contributors who informed, challenged, and inspired our profession.
