MICINTOSH COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — One person died after colliding with a tractor trailer on SR 57 in McIntosh County Monday. The tractor trailer driver was attempting to make a U-turn at the bombing range when a vehicle headed in the southbound direction hit the tractor trailer, Georgia State Patrol Trooper David Laff reported. One person was killed. Two children were also in the vehicle, Laff said, but their condition is unknown.

Man injured in Hinesville shooting

HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) — A man was shot and wounded Friday night in Hinesville. According to Hinesville Police Department (HPD) Assistant Chief Terronova Smith, officers are currently investigating an aggravated assault incident involving a shooting at the Wawa convenience store located at 721 Veterans Parkway. The man has been transported by LifeStar to a Savannah hospital for medical treatment, his condition is unknown.
