Context-dependent cGAS–STING signaling in inflammatory bowel disease: cell specificity, lesion state, and therapeutic windows
Abstract Whether cyclic GMP–AMP synthase (cGAS)–stimulator of interferon genes (STING) signaling should be inhibited in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) cannot be answered from pathway abundance alone. Canonical ER–Golgi–TBK1–IRF3/NF-κB signaling can amplify intestinal inflammation, whereas nuclear STING–AHR signaling, T-cell-intrinsic STING, ILC3 sensing, and epithelial antimicrobial programs may support microbial tolerance, host defense, or repair.
Multilevel functional network signature of Pisa syndrome in Parkinson’s disease: a resting-state fMRI study
|
Abstract Background: Pisa syndrome (PS) is a disabling postural complication of Parkinson’s disease (PD), but its functional network basis remains insufficiently defined. The aim of this study is to determine whether PD with PS is associated with multilevel resting-state functional network abnormalities beyond differences in motor severity. Methods: We studied 31 patients with PD and PS and 42 patients with PD without PS using resting-state fMRI.

CASTOR1 and CASTOR2 respond to different arginine levels to regulate mTORC1 activity
Keywords amino acid sensor arginine CASTOR1 CASTOR2 GATOR1 GATOR2 mTORC1 signaling myogenesis Introduction The modulation of metabolic flux and the evolution of survival responses are key strategies that enable cells to adapt to fluctuations in both internal and external environments, particularly regarding nutrient availability. These adaptive mechanisms rely on complex environmental sensing systems and signaling pathways that coordinate intracellular anabolic and catabolic processes.
Initiation timing and treatment duration of eltrombopag added to immunosuppressive therapy in aplastic anemia: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Aplastic anemia (AA) is a bone marrow failure syndrome. Whether the combination of TPO-RAs and IST is superior to IST alone is an ongoing debate. This meta-analysis compares the efficacy of EPAG+IST versus IST alone, and assesses the initiation timing and treatment duration of eltrombopag (EPAG) across different age groups of AA patients. Methods: The literature was retrieved from Chinese and English databases up to October 1, 2025.
Mapping functional hemodynamic and metabolic responses to dementia: a broadband spectroscopy pilot study
Abstract Significance: Broadband near-infrared spectroscopy (bNIRS) can simultaneously monitor several chromophores including the oxidative state of cytochrome c-oxidase (oxCCO), an oxygen metabolism biomarker whose activity is altered in Alzheimers disease. Being a portable and non-invasive neuromonitoring technique, bNIRS could thus provide accessibility to brain-specific biomarkers and aid in the dementia diagnostic pathway.
Standardization of metal coil configuration in thermoacoustic imaging
Existing TAI systems mostly use metal wires to calibrate their spatial resolution. However, research on the imaging mechanism of the metal wire and the setting of the wire parameters that can affect the system’s spatial resolution is not sufficient in this context. In general, there is a lack of understanding of the factors affecting spatial resolution. A TAI system, consisting of parallel plate irradiation structures has been developed.

Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning Enhances Adaptation of Single Cell Large Language Model for Cell Type Identification
Abstract Single-cell sequencing transformed biology and medicine, providing an unprecedented high-resolution view at the cellular level. However, the vast variability inherent in single-cell sequencing data impedes its utility for in-depth downstream analysis. Inspired by the foundation models in natural language processing, recent advancements have led to the development of single-cell Large Language Models (scLLMs).
YOLOv7-Ship: A Lightweight Algorithm for Ship Object Detection in Complex Marine Environments
The complex environment around ships in the natural environment, such as land buildings, reefs, buoys, and other background interference information, is prone to cause interference to the target detection of ships. Existing public ship datasets, such as the SeaShips dataset proposed by Shao et al. [42], contain 7000 images of ship detection in six categories.

Identification, structure and function of the methyltransferase involved in the biosynthesis of the dithiolopyrrolone antibiotic xenorhabdin
Abstract Xenorhabdins (XRDs) are produced by Xenorhabdus species and are members of the dithiopyrrolone (DTP) class of natural products that have potent antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer activity. The amide moiety of their DTP core can be methylated or not to fine-tune the bioactivity properties. However, the enzyme responsible for the amide N-methylation remained elusive.

On-Demand Anonymous Access and Roaming Authentication Protocols for 6G Satellite–Ground Integrated Networks
Assuming that the NCCs and 6GCs are trusted by UE, LEOs, and GSs. During the initialization phase, NCCs can send secret parameters for future use to the UE and LEOs over trusted channels (e.g., offline channels); Assuming that during satellite authentication, the channels between NCCs and GSs, GSs and LEOs, and NCCs and NCCs are trusted, it can be built using SSL or TLS.

Increased risk of dementia among people with a history of fractures: a systematic review and meta-analysis of population-based studies
Introduction Dementia is a syndrome characterized by progressive impairment in cognitive function, memory loss, and a decline in the ability to perform daily activities (1). Approximately 55 million people worldwide currently have dementia, with up to 10 million new cases each year, and the number of people living with dementia is projected to reach 139 million by 2050 (2).
"The Effect of Common Factor Therapist Behaviors on Change in Marital S" by Li Ping Su
Home > Theses and Dissertations > 7453 Abstract Couple therapy has been proven to be successful in treating marital distress and mental health problems; however, not everyone benefits from couple therapy. Although research suggests that some couple therapists are more effective than others, little research has explored the in-session behaviors of effective couple therapists.
"A Cross-Cultural Study of Perceived Marital Problems in Taiwan and the" by Li Ping Su, Rick B. Miller et al.
Research has consistently found an association between marital distress and poor mental and physical health of couples, as well as the impact on maladaptive child outcomes. Several studies have examined the problems that couples experience in the United States, while only one study has in Taiwan. However, there is no cross-cultural research on marital problems between the West and the East to examine how cultures influence couples’ perceived marital problems.
"The influence of father involvement in adolescents' overall developmen" by Li Ping Su, Bryan C. Kubricht et al.
Western Studies show that father involvement is predictive of adolescent development; however, there are few studies that demonstrate this relationship in Chinese cultures, including Taiwan. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of father involvement on adolescents' development in areas of academic achievement, self-esteem, internalizing, and externalizing behaviors in Taiwan.
