The summer is marching on, and everything is abuzz with life! The flowers are blooming in every shade; bees are buzzing, weighted with pollen; butterflies are unfurling their proboscis in search of sweet nectar; young birds are learning life on the wing; furry friends are feeding, working on their homes, and raising little ones.

Dave and Buster’s was our sixth date. There were two other dating couples there, and I remember giving them knowing looks, trying to guess what number date they were on and how likely they were to get engaged. This, of course, was with the smug assurance that I was dating my bashert, and our impending engagement was only a matter of time. Ari was everything I’d been looking for, plus he won everything he played.

Do you have a love affair with food like I do? Would you believe me if I told you that my devotion to food stemmed from my reluctant decision to give up meat? This simple change helped my palate mature in ways I never knew possible. This slow evolution of my tastebuds allowed me to find much more value and enjoyment in my life. Who would have thought that eating only plants could do all that? What is a palate?
