Tunes and Tastes at Tunbridge Church to bring community together

RUGBY, N.D. (KMOT) — A Rugby nonprofit is bringing its community together while renovating a historic landmark. The Tunbridge Lutheran Church Preservation Society is hosting its first ever Tunes and Tastes event next month. Organization president Terry Jelsing said the group came together in 2019 to renovate and refurbish the more than 100-year-old church. He added during the renovation process they decided there was a deeper purpose to provide a community space.

Williston sees steady stream of voters on primary day

WILLISTON, N.D. (KMOT) - Voters are heading to the ballot box in Williston on Tuesday. There are several contested races in the Williston elections—commissioner and president of the commission, who also serves as mayor, to name just a few. Williams County residents have several polling locations, including the ARC, the Williams County Fairgrounds and some in neighboring communities like Tioga and Grenora as well.

A new community sports complex coming to Ray

RAY, N.D. (KMOT) - Student-athletes and community members in Ray will see work beginning on a new sports complex this fall. The 26-acre complex will feature a football field and track. City commission president Troy Kupper said the project has been in the works for a while. It will be located just north of the Cenex and go all the way up to the cemetery. The project will cost roughly $12 million, paid for by the city with no bonds. Once completed, it will be free to use by the citizens.
