LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Father’s Day is around the corner, and Nevadans are expected to spend nearly $460 million for the holiday, according to the Retail Association of Nevada. According to a projection based on a recent survey by the National Retail Federation, 77% of Americans will be celebrating Father’s Day. Nevadans are projected to spend $459/6 million on activities, clothing and other gifts for dads, according to RAN.

Mobile home fire leaves 1 injured in east Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One person was taken to the hospital after a mobile home fire in the east Las Vegas valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department. Around 5:50 a.m. Friday, fire crews responded to reports of a structure fire in the 4600 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard near Nellis Boulevard. When crews arrived, a single-side mobile home was fully involved, CCFD said.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man accused of killing a woman in 2022 had several packages in her name, which police believe were placed after she died, according to an arrest report. On Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, around 4:50 p.m., Metro police responded to a welfare check from a person reporting that he had not heard from his friend, 68-year-old Yong Temple, and was concerned for her well-being. When officers arrived, they knocked on the front door and attempted to call Temple, but there was no answer.
