(1,2) However, SIBs face challenges such as lower electrochemical performance compared to lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to larger size (rNa+ 1.02 Å and rLi+ 0.76 Å), as well as smaller positive redox potentials compared to LIBs (−2.71 V compared to −3.04 V vs standard hydrogen electrodes).
