1 Introduction Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the cervix (CCAC) is a rare, HPV-independent, and aggressive neoplasm, accounting for only 4%–9% of all adenocarcinomas of the uterine cervix [1]. The etiology and pathogenesis of CCAC remain poorly understood, but it has been associated with intrauterine exposure to diethylstilbestrol (DES), which was prescribed to pregnant women between the 1940s and 1970s [2-4].
