Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! And took a typing class. I once had a summer job typing items for the newsroom. I can hold a conversation and retype.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love sharing stories about interesting people doing great things. And I love community news. Local matters.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
We didn't have one. But I did have a freelance column about my high school in my local newspaper. I wrote for my college resident's newspaper
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I interviewed a young woman living with an eating disorder. I think of her often and hope she has found success - and health.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Reading books. Looking at books. Buying books. Talking books. Touching books.
