Lisa Loving’s Biography
I have been a journalist my entire life, writing community news, investigative series, features, reviews and columns. A few years ago I moved into electronic media, including radio, webcasting and computer-based digital video.
Now I am working on a journalism how-to book for non-journalists, and building out classes to go along with it. This involves a LOT of begging professional journalists for interviews on ethics and technique.
I am also the host of a news and public affairs radio show called 'Democracy in Motion,' which airs on KBOO Community Radio every second Friday at 9am. I am the retired host of Wednesday Talk Radio, on www.kboo.fm. You can also look for my current author interviews there on Between the Covers.
Specialties: Writing, editing, interviewing, multicultural outreach, research, training, staff management, public speaking, organizing, promotions, brainstorming and problem-solving, video and audio for the web. I am also a bread and cookie-baking champion at the Multnomah County Fair.
