Read Full Bio →I have been a journalist my entire life, writing community news, investigative series, features, reviews and columns. A few years ago I moved into electronic media, including radio, webcasting and computer-based digital video.
Now I am working on a journalism how-to book for non-journalists, and building out classes to go along with it. This involves a LOT of begging professional journalists for interviews on ethics and technique.

Journalists are information factories, in my opinion. Our value is that we use judgement in sorting and distributing the information we find.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Computer, 2 iphones, ipad, SONY video camera and ZOOM digital audio recorder; software: SCRIBD, voice recognition, iPhoto, Adobe Audition
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes hahahah! I started out as a writer in my freshman year and served as editor in chief when I was a senior.
