For decades, I've pursued stories as an award-winning journalist and built platforms that amplify voices too often overlooked. I've launched newspapers, led newsrooms through crisis, and mentored reporters who've gone on to shape national media and advocacy landscapes.
My focus? The issues that define our future: climate crisis, LGBTQ rights, immigration justice, environmental protection, and the communities leading solutions.
What Drives Me
Storytelling as a catalyst for transformation. I work to illuminate and inspire. Whether I'm investigating wetlands destruction, profiling resilient communities, or designing special sections that spark conversation, I'm searching for the narrative that helps people understand—and then act.
Building platforms for urgent voices. I've cofounded two newspapers that became essential reading, won recognition, and drove critical conversations on LGBTQ, labor, immigration, and environmental issues.
Climate work is my calling. My environmental column has explored rising seas, endangered species, water quality, policy failures, and the path forward. I completed Terra.do's climate action program because understanding the crisis isn't enough—I'm committed to advancing solutions through storytelling and strategic communication.
