At the Art21 gala with the downtown darling and Greater New York standout Artist Louis Osmosis shows his chest tattoos. All photos unless noted: Lola Kramer. At the Art21 gala on Tuesday, April 14, I was seated next to downtown darling Louis Osmosis. His mother, who owns an eyeglass store in Chinatown, named him after Louis Vuitton, but got the pronunciation wrong (it’s Loo-iss, not Loo-ee). At age twelve, inspired by a science class, he gave himself his last name.
