TULSA, Okla. - Raymond Johnson is scheduled to be executed at 10 a.m. Thursday for the 2007 killings of Brooke Whitaker and her 7-month-old daughter, Kya, in Tulsa. Prosecutors said Johnson attacked Whitaker with a claw hammer before setting Whitaker and Kya on fire while they were still alive. Johnson was convicted and sentenced to death. Family members said they are still reeling from their loss nearly two decades later as they prepare to witness Johnson’s execution.

“It’s so dark, so demonic and nasty and evil, that it’s shocking,” said Derek Fry, threat liaison coordinator. The Oklahoma Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center wants people to know about hundreds of groups online that are coercing children to do unspeakable acts of violence. These groups target children as young as 8 years old, and the kids often feel like they have no choice and no escape.
