What a weekend. Storms that swept through the area at the height of July 4th activities downed trees and power lines, blocked roads, caused scattered outages and washed out the local fireworks show. As of Monday morning more than a hundred homes along the Mamaroneck Town/Village border were still without power. Thousands of revelers had to be cleared from Harbor Island Park Saturday evening (July 4) as heavy rain and winds gusting to 70 mph swept through.

A family has lost a husband, father, and uncle. The community has lost a beacon of warmth, and a steady presence. Richie Iannuzzi died late last month after brief battle with cancer. A native of New Rochelle, resident of Mamaroneck and welcoming fixture in Larchmont; Richie touched innumerable lives with his humor, authenticity, and passion for life.
