Luis Antonio Perez’s Biography

Audio producer based in Denver. Born and raised in Chicago. Currently, Community Audio Producer at Colorado Public Radio. Creating content since 2003, 10 years in public radio.

Early career in independent film production (2003-2009). Began in radio through Chicago Public Media and their Vocalo Radio initiative developing the new Urban Alternative Radio format (2008-2015). Formerly, board director and board president of the Association of Independents in Radio (2013-2021). Air New Voices Fellow in 2011. Joined Colorado Public Radio in 2020 as a podcast producer for their Audio Innovations Studio. Since 2022, serving the role of community audio producer for CPR. MS Northwestern University, BA Columbia College.
