FARO DE VIGO is the oldest newspaper of the Spanish press. It was printed for the first time on November 3, 1853 in the typographic workshop owned by its founder, Mr. Angel de Lema y Marina, on Calle de la Oliva in Vigo, with the idea of "helping the interests of Galicia". Since 1986, it has belonged to Editorial Prensa Ibérica, a communication group currently made up of fourteen newspaper headlines, whose common criteria are independence, rigor and pluralism, together with the maximum commitment to the various territories in which they are published.
