Thames Water customers could be offered shares in the struggling supplier as part of an attempt to see off the threat of nationalisation under Andy Burnham. A share-buying scheme is among a series of radical concessions being discussed by creditors who are spearheading a plan to appease Mr Burnham, who is expected to replace Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister, and salvage their rescue plan for Thames.
