Dan Sheehan named Leinster captain for Connacht URC clash. ©Steve Haag Dan Sheehan will captain Leinster for their United Rugby Championship clash with Connacht at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, stepping in for regular skipper Caelan Doris. The Ireland hooker leads the side from the front row, where he is joined by Andrew Porter and Thomas Clarkson. In the engine room, Joe McCarthy partners Brian Deeny, while the back row sees Will Connors return to action for the first time since October.

The Leinster Rugby team to play Harlequins tomorrow has been named. Caelan Doris captains the side, with Josh van der Flier and Jack Conan joining him in the back row. Joe McCarthy has been named in the second row alongside RG Snyman. Dan Sheehan is at hooker, with Andrew Porter and Rabah Slimani the props. Suncroft’s Sam Prendergast is at 10 with Jamison Gibson-Park his half-back partner. Robbie Henshaw will make his 99th Leinster appearance, with Garry Ringrose starting alongside him.

Four Kildare Players Named In Leinster Squad To Play Ulster Tomorrow

The Leinster Rugby team, to play Ulster Rugby in Round 7 of the BKT United Rugby Championship at Kingspan Stadium tomorrow night has 11 changes from the team who beat Lions last month. Four Kildare players are included. Jack Conan captains the side while Eadestown’s Jimmy O'Brien, Jordan Larmour and John McKee have all recovered from injury. Naas’s Andrew Osborne joins Larmour and O'Brien in the back three as Liam Turner is named in the centre alongside Charlie Tector.
