The longest Triple Crown race, the aptly nicknamed Test of the Champion, is normally run at 1 1/2 miles in the deep sand of “Big Sandy.” However, due to ongoing renovations, The Run for the Carnations will run at Saratoga and will only be 1 1/4 miles.
