CAIRO, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Egypt stressed on Sunday the need for Israel to withdraw from the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing to resume its operation, Egypt's Al-Qahera News TV channel reported. A tripartite meeting attended by delegations from Egypt, the United States, and Israel was held in Cairo, discussing the reopening of the Rafah crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, Al-Qahera quoted a high-ranking security source as saying.

Rockets from Lebanon hit N. Israel, causing power outages Original

JERUSALEM, May 5 (Xinhua) -- About 20 rockets were launched from Lebanon at northern Israel on Sunday, damaging facilities and causing power outages in the city of Kiryat Shmona, Israeli sources said. The military confirmed in a statement that several rockets hit the city, triggering air raid sirens. The police said rockets fell in several locations in Kiryat Shmona, causing power outages and property damage. No injuries have been reported yet.
