Vimentin promotes collective cell migration through collagen networks via increased matrix remodeling and spheroid fluidity
Abstract Intermediate filaments (IF) are diverse and cell-type specific. The IF protein vimentin, expressed in mesenchymal cells and different cancer cells, is functionally associated with cell migration through fibrous tissues. Vimentin increases cell elongation needed for migration, yet also acts as a cytoskeletal cage that hinders cells squeezing through small spaces.

INCIDENCE OF HBV REACTIVATION IN PATIENTS WITH DIFFUSED LARGE B CELL LYMPHOMA IN ERA OF PROPHYLACTIC ANTIVIRAL THERAPY
Introduction: Patients with Diffused large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) who are also co-infected with Hepatitis B virus (HBV) may experience HBV reactivation during immunochemotherapy which can delay or prematurely terminate anti-tumor treatment. It is usually considered that patients who are hepatitis B surface antigen-positive (HBsAg+) have a higher rate of HBV reactivation and a poorer prognosis compared with patients who have resolved hepatitis B virus infection (HBsAg+/anti-HBc+).

Gene regulation by gonadal hormone receptors underlies brain sex differences - Nature
Abstract Oestradiol establishes neural sex differences in many vertebrates1,2,3 and modulates mood, behaviour and energy balance in adulthood4,5,6,7,8. In the canonical pathway, oestradiol exerts its effects through the transcription factor oestrogen receptor-α (ERα)9. Although ERα has been extensively characterized in breast cancer, the neuronal targets of ERα, and their involvement in brain sex differences, remain largely unknown.

NTCP rs2296651 is believed to be an Asian‐specific variant responsible for HBV susceptibility. We investigated the relationship between rs2296651 and HBV infection in Taiwan based on stratification by gender and menopausal status. We recruited 10 017 Taiwan Biobank participants aged 30‐70 years with complete genetic data and sociodemographic information.
Spatial and temporal variations in the moment tensor solutions of the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake aftershocks and their tectonic implications
Following the mainshock of the 2008 M8 Wenchuan Earthquake, there were more than 300 M ≥4.0 aftershocks that occurred between May 12, 2008 and Sept. 8, 2010. We analyzed the broadband waveforms for these events and found 160 events with sufficient signal-to-noise levels to invert for seismic moment tensors. Considering the length of the activated fault and the distances to the recording stations four velocity models were employed to account for variability in crustal structure.
A review on fabricating heterostructures from layered double hydroxides for enhanced photocatalytic activities
There is a growing interest in photocatalytic applications of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) because of their unique two-dimensional (2D) lamellar structural features and optical properties. This review firstly revealed adjustable components of LDHs controlled the electronic structures. Based on this characteristic, LDH emerged as a very promising candidate to construct highly efficient photocatalysts.

Tailoring upconversion of ABF3:Yb3+/Er3+ through Mn2+ doping
Successful upconversion (UC) tuning from multi-bands to one single red band from Er3+ ions was realized in cubic perovskite ABF3:Yb3+/Er3+ (A= K, Cs; B= Zn, Cd) through Mn2+ doping. Based on UC emission spectra and decay kinetics of KZnF3:Yb3+/Er3+ with different Mn2+ contents, a bidirectional energy transfer process between Mn2+ and Er3+ ions was confirmed to explain the UC tuning mechanism.
