TULSA, Okla. - Organizations in Tulsa are working to educate the community about human trafficking and support victims who may not realize they’re being trafficked. At Ascension St. John, a specialized Human Trafficking Education and Response Program works to identify victims and connect them with help. Since the program started in 2018, the staff has provided resources to more than 400 suspected victims.

Oklahoma receives about $120 million each month in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funding. Without a federal budget deal, those payments could be delayed for thousands of Oklahomans. Several Tulsa-area organizations have help available for SNAP recipients.
