For two decades, imported rosé has been trending in the U.S., and French rosés, specifically those from Provence, have established a strong following in the states. While the overall rosé wine market was down last year, French rosés are showing positive gains.

The ready-to-serve (RTS) cocktail space has expanded significantly in recent years as consumers seek out user-friendly drinking experiences. Often confused with the ready-to-drink (RTD) category, which refers to pre-mixed drinks made to be consumed straight from their packaging, ready-to-serve offerings are premium, pre-mixed cocktails that require an extra step or two, such as pouring over ice or serving in a glass.

French rosé was on the rebound last year after experiencing slight declines throughout 2023. The top brands fell 2.1% to 2.5 million cases in 2023, marking an uncharacteristic year of decline for the previously vibrant segment and a tough year for the rosé category overall.
