A year into the Labour Party coming to power in the UK, it seems like all bets on “growth” are on Artificial Intelligence. Since Prime Minister Keir Starmer unveiled the AI Opportunities Plan earlier this year, drafted by tech investor Matt Clifford before his swift return to industry, most government announcements on public services, from education to health to the civil service, have centred on AI rollouts. Yet the government remains strikingly evasive about how any of this will actually work.
