MANDY MILES/Keys Weekly The Florida Keys’ elections supervisor announced this week that results of the Aug. 18 election will be delayed until about 10 p.m. due to the removal of landlines from all 33 polling places in the island chain.

A statewide ethics board last week dismissed complaints against Key West Mayor Dee Dee Henriquez and City Manager Brian Barroso. The complaints alleged the two had used or failed to prevent the use of city resources, namely its social media accounts, “in a manner that benefited the mayor’s reelection campaign,” according to the dismissal orders issued July 29 by the Florida Commission on Ethics.

Early voting at local elections offices is available through Saturday, Aug. 15. Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 18. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All but one race in the Florida Keys this year will be decided on Aug. 18, so everyone may vote, regardless of party affiliation.
