Einmal mehr wurde die Geduld von Teams und Fahrern der Classic TT und des Manx Grand Prix arg strapaziert. Weil der mehr als 60 Kilometer lange Snaefell Mountain Course nach den Regenfällen Zeit benötigte um aufzutrocknen konnten sie das Qualifikationstraining erst mit mehr als drei Stunden Verspätung aufnehmen.
