Introduction: Intracytoplasmatic sperm injection (ICSI) offers azoospermic men an option to father biologic children. Open testicular biopsy with testicular sperm extraction (TESE) is an option for retrieval of sperm and is indicated in azoospermia and when ejaculation is not possible. The testicular sperm can be used fresh or cryopreserved.
