The UK National Screening Committee have published their review of screening for prostate cancer.1 As of May 2026, the committee does not recommend population screening for prostate cancer. It does recommend prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing every two years for men aged 45 to 61 years who have a pathogenic BRCA2 variant with a family history of certain cancers. The committee says that the best approach to identifying and inviting groups at high genetic risk should be evaluated over time.
