Lancaster County farmland values see biggest increase in Nebraska

Mary and Brad Moser have been farming land north of Hallam since 1975 — and while the value of that land has increased over the years, this year’s property tax statement was a shocker. The assessed value of the roughly 1,300 acres they farm increased by nearly $2.3 million, and the value of most of their parcels increased by 50% or more over last year.
