The guidance is for schools, hospitals, child care centers, and places of worship. The guidance focuses on how staff should respond if federal immigration officers show up. It encourages organizations to train staff, create written response policies, and clearly mark public and private areas.

State, local officials remember fallen Boston firefighter on Memorial Day who died in the line of duty

BOSTON (WHDH) - A memorial grew outside a destroyed home in Dorchester where Boston firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr. lost his life battling a fire over the weekend. On Monday morning, people brought flowers to the scene. The 24-year veteran of the department was killed in the line of duty Saturday night while battling the flames at a triple decker on Treadway Road. Governor Maura Healey and Mayor Michelle Wu commemorated his heroic actions on Memorial Day.

‘Boston lost a hero’: Dignified transfer held for fallen firefighter Robert ‘BK’ Kilduff Jr.

BOSTON (WHDH) - A crowd of first responders lined the streets of Boston on Sunday for the dignified transfer of veteran firefighter Robert ‘BK’ T. Kilduff Jr., who died after falling from the third floor of a triple-decker that went up in flames in Dorchester on Saturday night. Kilduff, a third-generation firefighter and Marine Corps veteran, was a 24-year member of the Boston Fire Department.
