While often perceived as less harmful than other Class A drugs, hallucinogens remain a persistent feature of the UK drug landscape. According to Office for National Statistics (ONS) data, approximately 1.1% of adults aged 16 to 59 in England and Wales reported using hallucinogens in the year ending March 2025, a figure that has remained broadly stable year on year. Of particular concern is the sharp rise in ketamine use.
