We are tracking a storm system that will move in from the Great Basin. As it approaches, it will tap into remnant moisture from what was Tropical Storm Lorena and pull some of that moisture into Arizona. So, rain chances will be increasing dramatically Monday and Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday are ABC15 Weather Action Days. Any storms that due form could contain damaging winds, frequent lightning, hail, and we will also be on the lookout for dust storms.

ARIZONA (KRON) — A police officer in Arizona is being investigated for punching a woman in the face during an arrest, according to Flagstaff police. A video has surfaced, showing the assault. Officer Jeff Bonar has been placed on leave pending the investigation, Flagstaff police said. The incident happened yesterday as police arrested the woman. She was reportedly being uncooperative, and struggled with the two officers.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) —  California universities are considering tuition hikes for the first time in six years. They are facing record-high enrollments and need to hire more faculty to meet the demand. Leaders of the UC and CSU systems say they need more money to maintain the quality of the nation’s largest public university system. Cal State is proposing hikes of $270 per student per year, and UC schools are proposing an increase of $280 per student per year.
