GolfSixes League delivers record-breaking junior impact across Home Nations in 2025

In 2025, the Golf Foundation’s GolfSixes League continued to prove that shorter, team-based formats are one of the most powerful ways to introduce children to golf – and keep them playing. Working in partnership with England Golf, Scottish Golf, Golf Ireland and Wales Golf, 133 leagues were delivered through 743 golf clubs and teams, engaging 9,247 young players in competitive, welcoming and fun team golf experiences.

Birds of Ireland: Chiffchaff

A chiffchaff is about 10-11 centimetres long with a wingspan of 17-18 centimetres. They are a common breeding species here on woodland, farmland, and in gardens in Spring, Summer and Autumn. A chiffchaff is roughly wren-sized.

UN rapporteur calls for more Irish govt action against Israel

United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has urged the Irish government to take stronger action against Israel, including cutting trade ties. She also specifically called for Ireland to pass the Occupied Territories Bill.
