More than €47,000 was spent by RTÉ to cover the cost of three events hosted for Renault by Ryan Tubridy in 2022, according to a statement from the public service broadcaster. The events took place in Cork, Dublin and Louth between March and May 2022. The cost of staging the events was €30,586. As RTÉ paid the costs through a barter account, the total cost to RTÉ came to €47,477. are usually used to record the exchange of services between companies. Using such accounts resulted in additional fees.
