Rumors had been swirling for a few days about who would become the University of Maryland's next men's basketball coach. The rumors were put to rest Monday morning as the Terrapins announced former Seton Hall University coach Kevin Willard would become the 10th head coach in Maryland program history. Willard will be formally introduced at a press conference Tuesday at 6 p.m. on the court at XFINITY Center. The event is open to the media and the public.

Former St. James WR John Metchie expects to be ready for NFL season after knee injury

Former Saint James School and University of Alabama wide receiver John Metchie III told reporters Wednesday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis he expects to be medically cleared by June from an ACL tear he suffered in last year's SEC Championship Game. Metchie decided to forgo his senior season at Alabama to enter the 2022 NFL Draft. He is projected as one of the top wide receivers in this year's draft class, possibly going late in the first round or the second round.
