TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka’s Backyard Musicfest 2025 brings local artists from Topeka, Lawrence, Kansas City and others from around the country all together in the Woodshed Event Center’s backyard. 27 News stopped by Musicfest while crews were hard at work setting up the morning of Friday, May 30 for an inside look into what attendees can expect. The next two days will feature artists performing country, rock and roll, EDM and hip-hop. Wrestlers will even make up part of the lineup.

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Heading into summer, the youngest members of the Topeka community have a new space to explore. On Thursday, the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library unveiled its redesigned Kids’ Library. Opening ahead of the library’s busiest time of the year, the renovation has been in the works since December of 2024. The library transformed the entire space, bringing new play opportunities for infants, school aged children and teens.
